ASKÖ Stadiun Eggenberg, Graz

From the beginning the Austrians tried to control the game with short runs through the middle. With success, Darvin Lewis, who finished the day with 74 yards on 16 carries, scored for Graz in the middle of the 1st Quarter. The PAT was missed, Graz took a 6-0 lead.

This lead was soon equalized by Eidsvoll WR Dustin Creager who scored with a spectacular one-handed catch. Eidsvoll also missed the PAT.

In the second quarter Darvin Lewis scored another rushing touchdown (PAT missed) and C.Kipperer added a fieldgoal to give the Giants a comfortable 15-6 lead. But the game was far from beeing decided as Giants-Manager Stefan Schubert pointed out to the press at halftime. "The Norwegians are very well prepared. We were expecting a very mobile QB. Now he stays in the pocket most of the time what gives his Receivers more room than they should have."

Turek Giants Coach Phil Maas obviously was able to motivate his players with a halftime speach. Giants WR/DB Jeremy Bohannon returned the opening kickoff 74 yards to the 1814's Endzone.

The Giants also were able to increase the pressure on defense in the second half what forced Eidsvoll QB Joe Brannen to run what fitted well into the Austrian's game plan.

Eidsvoll managed to score two more Touchdowns during the second half, but with spectacular plays the Giants keept them under control.
After a fumble on kick return by Bohannon the Giants found themselves on their own one yard line. No problem at all for Giants QB Sheldon Cross who connected to WR Ponce de Leon for a 99 yard touchdown that also set a new Graz record. Soon after that Cross also completed a 78 yard pass to Bohannon to make the score 35-12 what set off the gatorade showers at the Graz sideline.

"Whenever you do have 10 wins in a season it usually is a good one." Giants GM Schubert stated after the game. "By winning the eXess EFAF-Cup Final the team was rewarded for a great seaon."

Darvin Lewis, who carried the ball 16 times for74 yards and also recorded 3,5 tackles, was awarded the MVP trophy.
