Cheerleading World Championships: Host Japan dominates the first day

As expected, Japan left its strongest mark on the first day of the Cheerleading World Cup in its own country. The hosts lead in a total of five competitions in the 13 decisions in Cheer Dance and Cheerleading in Takasaki.

Especially the teams from Asia showed excellent performances close to their homeland and after the first day of the competition they are standing on a total of 27 of the 39 medal places.

The strongest nation outside of Asia is the Russian Federation, which has the prospect of five medals and leads two categories.
