Another big win for Kragujevac
Game started with a couple of Wroclaw Devils offensive plays who got two 1st downs but finely was stopped by Kragujevac and forced to punt. After opening drive both team expected that it will be an aligned game but then the Wild Boars offense came and score a touchdown in its... very first play! As all 20 points of the first quarter, this touchdown was scored by american duet QB Stan Bedwell WR Nick Merklin.
From this momment game was dominated by Serbians, however Devils also had a couple of good drives and defensive plays like 70-yards set of plays started with an interception. Wroclaw got to the red zone a few times but they were not able to use this.
Both teams presented good football based on spread offense. The main reason for such a high Devils failure was plague of injures that has struck wroclaw team. Furthermore, the level of experience of both teams is also varied.
For our team this is only third league season, we also dont have any Americans says Seweryn Plotan, General Manager of Wroclaw Devils at the beginning I thought that 100% favourite of the Challenge Cup are italian Hogs but now I suspect that a duel between Kragujevac Wild Boars and Reggio Emilia Hogs will be a very close game. I would like to see it!
Very important game between Wild Boars and Hogs will be played at may 31st in Susica Stadium in Kragujevac. It will decide which team will have home field advantage in EFAF Challenge Cup semifinals.
Wroclaw Devils Kragujevac Wild Boars 0:64 (0:20, 0:22, 0:8, 0:14)
